For my art class at the Univerty at Buffalo, we were asked to come up with a plan for apublic art project. My friend and I decided to propose a tunnel between the academic buildings that would be topped by glass. The glass would also function as a walkway, with areas of concrete on either side between the glass part and the buildings. I'm hoping that someone would be able to give me a clue as to what type of glass we would need (ie thickness, etc) and possibly even a cost estimate, and type of support structure (what kind of steel beams?). The dimensions would be 15 feet by 737.5 feet I would gretaly appreciate any info anyone can give me, a.s.a.p. Thanks!!
