If you want to see a more detailed installation process for a glass block floor, check out the site linked below.

The series of photos will give you some insight on how the whole assembly is put together. Continue searching the web and you can find examples of laminated plate glass floors. One site recommends sandblasting the glass surface to reduce glare and to improve traction. Another site uses a special coating on the glass for that purpose.
