the fountainhead is a passionate, wonderful read....it hits upon the harsh reality of the architectural field....

unfortunately, it pertrays a negative tone regarding classical architecture and it's role throughout history and it's continuing role in today's architecture.

that being said, i still believe that it's plot and characters are riveting and that it should be thought of more as a book about one's "philosophy regarding the roles we play in life" than a book about architecture, per say.
