Ed Mazria’s message is startling in its departure from typical lines of discussion. It’s also heartening in its potential for making real progress in battling global warming.
I heard Mazria talk at a symposium last fall, and I was impressed with his thoroughness as well as his passion. He’s not just describing a problem; he’s also offering a well-reasoned, inexpensive solution.
Susan Smith’s article is a good introduction to Mazria’s message. Readers who would like to learn more about his research, his conclusions, and his recommendations can find two excellent articles at www.metropolismag.com/html/content_1003/glo/index.html and
