In my process of designing a skateboard park for an architecture competition, I am deciding what material to use for the ground of the skateboard park. Wood is a good choice, however, wood doesn't not last long and is not a good material in my design because it is not strong. I'm thinking about some material that is cheap, light, sturdy, easy-to-shape, and strong. Could fiberglass be an option? I am also looking for a transparent material that can be used in some parts of my design as the floor ground of the skatepark. What material could that be? Money is not an important issue to how expensive the material must be.
