Hi, I'm on my last year of architecture and just last Semester I decided to get a minor in CM. I was told by my CM professor that if I think i will regret pursuing CM instead of architecture I should at least try architecture for a year, because if you start as a CM and you wanna go back to architecture it will be difficult to take the paycut. I always wanted to become an architect but after analyzing both carrers i decided to go job hunting for a cm position. By the way while in school i also worked for an engineer and i did enjoy it, but i think that for the amount of work you do as an architect and all the time that it takes to fullfill all the requirements after graduation it might be worth going into CM. Again I'm a senior in NYC and after talking to people on both sides i decided to go for CM. At the end it will come down to what you enjoy doing the most. Hope this helps, and since i'm in the same position as you please let me know what you think.
