First reference that comes to mind is the Centraal Beheer building by Herman Hertzberger in Apeldoorn (NL), which is built aroud interaction of office workers. Hertzberger has built more stuff like this and wrote two books on the subject, titles elude me at this point...

Also, interactive spaces: could they be places where people come to interact or to be seen? Clubs, Bars, Theatres, Italian Piazzas, that sort of thing?
