ID basically is the "decoration and furnishing" of building spaces created by the building architects. It does not involve structural, building code, or other technical considerations. IA is an expanded version of ID whereby the creation of the spaces and their bascially construction is included along with the decoraton and furnishings. [IA does NOT involve total building design-- that fails under the purview of the architect or some disciplines of engineers]. Also, you might check your state registration/licensure laws to see if IA and ID require professional registration-- and define the parameters of each discipline.
