if you think that those are the examples for architects designing houses for their mothers, then I would suggest that any architect's mother gets somebody else to design their home.
you might do better to try and find some positive qualities in house design because otherwise your next subject will presumably be "the urban designer as sociopath". (but let' s be fair - 'the traffic planner as sociopath' could be a more objective and reasonable subject for study).
why don't you study the notion of a house as a home (in Roman terms: a hearth, a centre for family life).
