Hello, I'm very interested in building a Straw Bale house, but for the region I live,(Western Canada), the option of finishing the outside of the house with stucco is not very appealing to me, I'd like instead to use "Hardy Plank", nailed over 1x2's straped over the bails; and also would like to use some "Cultured Stones" in some acent walls.
So my question is: would there be a moisture problem by using the hardy planks?; my believe is that any water that manages to go thru the planks can easily drain down to the draining holes in the bottom of the wall.
I'll apreciate any input in this matter.
