Hi Francesca

I think you've supplied your own clue when you mentioned Australia, living space and the enjoyment of?? The Australians love life full stop. Life is all about leisure and having fun here. And the word freedom plays an enormous role in the design and culture of simply being here.

I live on the Gold Coast which is a boom area at the moment. Living the dream lifestyle is very much the pull towards living here and the design of houses magnify the easy living style that goes with the image of freedom and fun. I think they are the key words.
Near where I live, there are houses that look like they are from another planet, if you have the idea and the money, architects have such a great amount of freedom to design a totally new concept of living. Some of the houses are between $2 and $3 million but they are literally out of this world, both artistically and functionally. A good mix of eye catching art, sculpture and architecture.
I think only Australia could deliver this kind of exciting building art.
Don't know where you are but if you email me, I can give you some web sites that might give you a few ideas.
