Search "architects's salaries" on the net. I found range for CAD drafter to be $31K to $40K in Dallas area [used the first entry on search from Yahoo]. In an interview, stress your skills and experience, and not the degree so much. Offices find little difference in the work capacity between degrees, when looking for thinking and production. A good portfolio of work done, in all aspects of pracice, all types of projects, and on levels is a key element in your interview. It is not so much "where have you been" as it is "what can you do for us"!
