You don't say but assuming you were focusing on a ski mountain resort, I would look at the French Alps in Chamonix, the reason being that the mountain resorts there have to be designed to take into account environmental factors such as avalanches and speedy medical assistance.
I think you could contact top ski resorts such as Megeve and Chamonix and get some in depth insight and advice.

I might be totally on the wrong track but it might be useful. I've spent lots of time in the French and Swiss Alps. The design of the resorts is worth studying and collecting data from.
