Not sure why you went to NAAB. It is NCARB who represents the state registration boards, and requires that you establish your record file with them. It is they who would evaluate your credentials, the curriculum that led to your degree, your degree, and note any shortcomings.
Also, NCARB has a history of being quite arbitrary, and unreasonable, as well as being most uncooperative-- they are a monopoly so they operate as they alone see fit.
You might try to approach the state where you are seeking regisration for their "take" on this, but most states rely on NCARB for evaluation and processing.
