Message - i insert some images in an autocad 2000 file, but the printing quality of those images are very bad.

i insert some images in an autocad 2000 file, but the printing quality of those images are very bad.
i try same file in autocad 14, the printing quality is the same as image's orginal quality (from scaner).
i donot understand why. is there any setting in autocad 2000?
