may be unaccurate but portraits the wing wall spanning directly from one of the built thing.

supports such view (at angle or not, but spanning inferredly form one corner, since it refers to workmade in a (it sems) bridge abutment, whcih are never open at the corners.

I am searching my penguin architectural dictionary that I don't find; if something shows, will add.
