I had addressed and must be in the site archives opinions regarding to this. In any case my view is that most of our architecture weighs too much, and takes too long to build. Of course there are exceptions where logistics and big monet concurr...but this is required anywhere.

There are various kinds of problems, some related to almost any prefabrication that significant amounts of ppl not very reasonably still reject, and other technical issues such thermal inertia and accoustical isolation. In any case, I think it is very worth -and not only for remedial architecture- to investigate the construction of light buildings easy to assemble; it can contribute greatly to the wellbeing and then happiness of ppl in the world.

Really it was a hurried answer. The point in my previous item was that, yes, there are ppl that are using imagination to make things better, even if this signifies thinking again something like the corrossion of steel underground.

The site where such item is is

http://www.eng-tips.com

site very interesting bu maybe not to your purpose.

Good luck in your study.

Manuel
