It depends of the countries... I know several species of cocroaches who loves polystyrčne and foam... Most small rodents find it wonderful for nesting...
Last but not the least... Most of thoses materials are highly inflammable in a surrounding where open fire is casual... And exhales solvents for several years in the air of a cramped space...
Chemistry is quite important in such a case, after all, those dwellings are supposed to help people and the land they will live on.. afterward!Good old Bucky had a nice principle of palletization...:-)
