whether the WTC towers were great buildings or not, I cannot answer - it is their symbolism which counts.it is perhaps too soon for people to have absorbed and understood the way in which that symbolism will be remembered. It is the people who died who are mourned, and everyone is waiting to see what the result of this tragedy will be.
were the buildings themselves more important than the people inside them - no, they were not.
will the WTC be remembered as it was, or as the horrific images of their destruction ? we will all have to wait and see.
