Manuel, I can't agree with you more. It is paramount that the professional overcome the pressures of the system. There are plenty of refusenicks, in our society. I think we need more. Better checks and balances need to be put in place when dealing with so many lives. I think the ultimate power of the total project of this size should be given back to the engineers.
The total cost for the towers at the time they were built was a little over 350 million and the cost after the first bombing, to repair it was over 500 million and now the cost is
40 billion. To tell you the truth I was very mad that the system failed the World Trade Towers.
In Japan the person who is both white collar and blue collar is considered most valuable. They consider any one with one or the other, a person with an imbalance. In this country, the USA, the white collar is the person of value. This concept must be changed if we are to regain true quality.
Invention built this country, not accountants..
