I do not know the details of Bucky's fog gun, but just remember that part of the abrasive action of water spray on a ship is that it is salt water.

there is an older version of this (though not a water saving device) which exists at London's RAC Club in Pall Mall. It is part of a Turkish Bath and is a shower which has both an overhead nozzle as well as a range of sprays which effectively surround you, and therefore mean that you are sprayed with multiple showers. It is a very refreshing form of shower (probably dating from the early part of the last century) and could easily be adapted to use much finer sprays of water. This would use much less water, but I would hardly call it water-saving.

To really save water you would need something equivalent to the jet cleaners used on cars - though it might be a bit painful for the kids.
