I am working an assignment for a Graduate-level Engineering Fundamentals class. The Instructor asked to analyze the WTC collapse.

As part of that analysis I am trying to determine what the buildings were designed to withstand. As I understand, they were supposed to hold in 100+ mph winds.

How do you calculate pressure forces (psi) caused by winds on a building?

Also, I am supposed to show heat transfer calculations. Any idea where I can find data on the floor construction?
