We still love ours with 16,000 miles on it.

Digging for something to negative to say, in response to your request, the main quirk we've experienced is that the car is very sensitive to tire pressure. The tires are small and light, very appropriately so for maximizing rolling efficiency, and they should be kept strictly at the recommended pressures, which are higher than for most passenger cars. So it takes some attention, and the cost of in attention is potentially rapid tire wear. The Prius would be a great candidate for electronic tire pressure monitoring, as a few cars are coming out with now or soon.

For our every day family, work, and errand driving, or for longer drives, we would hate to have to go back to a normal automobile, with a noisy engine putting out bad breath and running all the time.

Just the quiet of the Prius alone is worth it, but there is so much more.
