On 04/25/02 I purchased a Toyota Prius automobile from Toyota Town of Simi Valley, 2380 First Street, Simi Valley, CA 93065.
I was told by several of the sales people that I would be entitled to a $2000 tax relief benefit from either the State or the Federal Government since this is a "hybred" vehicle which uses an electric motor for power to run it.
I was given a form letter addressed to "All Los Angeles Region Principals and General Managers" which seems to provide for a federal tax benefit for qualified clean-fuel vehicles like the Prius,
While this form is dated June 26, 2000, I have been told there is a similar benefit provided for purchases made in the year 2002.
Is this true and, if so, how do I apply?
