I'm going to mod a Logitech Marble Trackman.

The thumb operation really sucks unless you're a casual user. In a 8 hour day of intense use it puts too much strain on the thumb. I now use a Trackman FX finger control wireless unit at my job.

I'm going to make the old Trackman a portable finger tip operable mini trackball. I plan to move the ball to the right and position it forward as close to the buttons as possible. Then maybe cut the buttons to make them smaller, and cut away the back side of the palm rest.

I don't have a dremmel, but I think I can use my drill with one of those cutting drill bits.

Does anyone have any suggestions on materials to use to cover over the cut away sections and seal the repostitioned pieces?

Thanks for any suggestions.
