Larry:

Since you seem to use the walkthrough feature frequently, i hope you might be able to offer some suggestions. I too, think it's good to have an interactive walkthrough (especially after i figured out that i needed to set eye height=look height), but it looks like i'm making a movie this time. The suits want something pretty to look at without having to play quake in order to look at it 8). (future DW Pro upgrade; BFG9k).

Anyhow, things are going pretty well, except my ceiling is thwarting me. Here's the short story: when i pull up lights and textures, the whole model is bathed in light -- so i need to turn down the model lights. But that's still too much, so i turn off the sun. When i do that, i can use the lights to get the effect i want (this is a dimly-lit building with theatre area, dramatic entrance, etc.). But the problem is that apparently turning off the sun means no light reflects up onto the ceiling. I've even got upward-shining spotlights (using the technique for creating up-pointing lights in the help files), and they aren't illuminating the ceiling. Even in one very bright area of the buliding (office space), the ceiling still shows up totally black. Everyting else behaves nicely, though.

Additionally, i have a few "hot spots" in my model -- areas where i have either no lights at all or just one light, but for some reason the whole area is lit brightly (grey walls showing up flat white). I can't figure out what this light source is (especially since the sun is turned off). Any ideas?

Thanks for taking a moment to help me out!
