Andrea,
When you want DW to render out your image with transparant windows you must be sure that you:
1. Assign the proper glass materials
2. Create a "Lights and Textures" image from your model
3. Render the image out in "Shadow Casting" mode
4. Make sure that you select the "Transparancy" option in the
"Lightworks Editor" choices.I've included a reference image that shows the four Glass material options that are standard in DW. There is no additional lighting added to the images other than the "Default" lighting assigned. The back wall and roof is created so that you can see the materials' assigned colors and the effect that the glass has on it.
There is a couple very important things you should know. First, the "Transparancy" setting is NOT SELECTED as a default. You must set it when you want your rendering to have transparant glass. When you first create your "Lights and Textures" image, the image is created in the "Shading" mode. You must re-render the image using the "Shadow Casting" mode. Now you can change the "Lightworks Editor" options to allow your windows to be rendered out transparant. To get to the "Lightworks Editor" options window, select - View/Rendering/Renderer/Configure Renderer. Select the "Transparancy" options box and close the options window; your image will be re-rendered with all glass objects rendered transparant.
Hope this helps!
