For quick interior or exterior scenes, just inside or outside a window, I draw a cube and apply a .pic picture to that cube. I will for example scan an image from a room, say from a shelter magazine. I next need to convert that image from (usually) a jpeg format to a .pic format using Adobe PHotoshop. I then need to reduce the file size to less than 200 kb. I drop that into the textures folder for Design Workshop. This gets converted to a full face texture in the DW material folder. Lots of steps, but you get a scene that stretched over a cube and can be moved in and out of scenes. Also, I'll sometimes apply a light source over the top of the cube to simulate day or room light.
