We are all making progress on this, but the story hasn't just suddenly ended. From a software developers perspective, we still have some technical questions to resolve regarding DXF into Artlantis. Hopefully we can pin those down in the next couple of work days or so. Then Artifice can focus on how to most effectively provide you with a sound working process.

Mike, some of us do not own 3.5 which then throws us into the scaling situation.

If you own 4.0 you could try getting a free copy of 3.5 from Abvent to go with it. Remember, this does still seem to fundamentally be their problem. As far as I know there is nothing wrong with the DXF or 3DMF files coming out of DesignWorkshop -- Artlantis _should_ be able to able read all of them.

Gary, if the scaling situation refers to a scaling problem with bringing 3DMF files from DesignWorkshop into Artlantis, as far as I know that is still a flaw in the Artlantis import functions, which you should continue to press Abvent to correct. The 3DMF format is not going away. 3DMF is broadly superior to DXF/DWG for this purpose, and it will get a big boost soon when the open source Quesa replacement for QD3D becomes available to end users.

If Abvent were to fully and accurately support 3DMF, then these translation technicalities could become a thing of the past.

So please keep up the customer pressure on Abvent to solve all their various little translator problems. In the meantime, Artifice will continue to resolve how to make sure you can get your DW->Artlantis work done anyway.

Best wishes,
