You are on the right track lating things out first in PCADD.

I would draw "sections" of your roof (polygons) in plan in PCADD, export them into DW and then extrude them up
to max length. Rotate the elements over to horizontal, push them around in plan until they match your overall
roof plan and then slice off parts that are not visible or protrude to far.!

E-mail me a sketch of what you're trying to do and I should be able to help, if what I have suggested is
not in line with what you're REALLY trying to do!


By the way, in PCADD, I save as DesignWorkshop .pict and then import into DW... I don't use DXF as import vehicle.
