Hi everyone,
I got the answer to my question from Santiago, a knowledgeable and helpful Desktop Radiance user who often posts to this discussion board.

For some reason, the 'dw.mat' file on the DW Pro CD references a procedural texture function named 'water_ripple.cal' for the Lands-Water_Pool material in DW Pro.

Problem:

This file is nowhere to be found.

Solution:

Edit the 'dw.mat' file.
Go to where it says 'ripples colorpict Lands_Water-Pool.map' and change the 'ripples' (which refers to the procedural texture function in the lines above) to 'void'.

Now Radiance will only use the Lands_Water-Pool.pic file, which comes on the DW Pro CD, and you won't get a 'partial frame (xx%) error' anymore.

Thanks Santiago!
