Fortunately, I have NEVER had an AUTOCAD experience, so I can't comment other than agreeing with your "cumbersome" comments.
Have be using a MACINTOSH since 1984 , PowerCADD for 2D since 1989, and Design Workhop since 1994-5.
With the MAC user interface acknowledged as the most user friendly—and PCADD and DesignWorkshop echoing
that simplicity, I can only say that this combination is perfectly adequate for my work!
If you're into the movies genre, and money is no object, it's dealer's choice!
