Posted by Jerud Crandall on March 29, 2001 at 08:53:14:After nearly a year with DW, i have never once tried to use 2D shapes in my model -- ie. drawing a square on the surface of a wall, etc. But i just did, and i'm not having any luck getting those 2D shapes to show up in shaded views. I've confirmed that the 2D shape is not 'inside' anything else -- it should be floating in space a few feet off the ground. And it is, in wireframe. But when i switch to shaded view, it goes away. I can still select it (with some trouble), and see its outline, but once i deselect, it disappears again.
For some reason i was under the impression that 2D objects would show up in shaded views. If this is the case, could someone please suggest a way i can get it to work? Thanks all!
