Dear Greg,

Thank you for contacting Artifice.

The easiest way to map an image on an object is to name your image file "Picture_1" and place it in the Textures folder. Then in DesignWorkshop assign the object you want that image mapped on the material of "Picture_1" and then view Lights and Textures.

Picture_1 is a predefined material that will map the image across the entire face of an object. Picture_2, Picture_3, Facade-Photo_1, Facade-Photo_2, and Facade-Photo_3 are other textures that you can replace with your own images to get full face textures on objects.

If you run out of placeholder textures or want to add a tiled texture you will need to edit the DW Material Prefs file found in the Textures folder. Open this file in a text editor. Instructions for adding material definitions can be found at the top of the file. More detailed information for adding materials is available in the User Guide.

Please let us know whenever you have further questions.

Best wishes,

Mike Wheeler
