Kevin,

It still remains that describing something in 2d is so much faster and accurate. Rolando brings up the point "knowing what you want"--Generally you do know what you want. You may change your mind but a designer doesn't just say "ohhh let's see let's draw it over here somewhere". You have a dimension in mind to start with. You may want to see it and then reject it, but everything has a scale.

So it is so easy to draw in 2d and it is easy to describe the parameters of say A HIP ROOF. Why can't the computer draw it for you.

I look forward to a time when DesignWorkshop can draw that roof, stretch the roof and the wing out 10' more (along with windows and openings) and other such drawing that is easy in 2d CADD.Now so much of this is like reshaping bricks to approximate something that already has an exact description in your mind and the real world.
