Imagine a CAD program where I can select a 2x6 and drag it onto a blank drawing. Then, I select a 2x4 and drag it onto the drawing and drop it such that it's end touches the first board. A pop-up window opens and asks me how I want to join the two boards. Screws, nails, joist hangers, a DoveTail, whatever.
I do this a few more times, and suddenly I have the framing for a dog house, a gazebo, a new bathroom addition, or a whole house! Simple!
I'm just one of millions of home owners who shop every day at places like HomeDepot, Lowes, and thousands of other stores that sell lumber, hardware, and home improvement materials .... stores where I spend hundereds of dollars each month on home improvement!
AND ... I've already spent over $600 on CAD programs and nothing does what I and millions of other amatuer builders really need. A way to build something BEFORE buying any lumber or nails!
When the CAD drawing is complete, I push a button and I get (1) a measured drawing of each and every piece (2) drawings of how it all goes together (3) warnings on design flaws which may not be structurally sound and (4) A SHOPPING LIST WITH ALL OF HOME DEPOT BRAND NAMES AND QUANTITIES AND STORE LOCATIONS!
Heck, I'll bet HOME DEPOT will BUY the program from you for a million dollars and GIVE IT AWAY for FREE!
Please! Someone write this CAD product! We amatuer builders NEED IT!
