Dear Santiago,

Thank you for contacting Artifice.

You are correct that this is a clipping issue. For QuickDraw 3D rendering, hither and yon planes must be set. Nothing closer than the hither plane or further than the yon plane will be visible.

Through extensive testing we have found that setting the hither plane to one foot and the yon plane to 10,000 feet produces the best result. If part of your model is more than 10,000 feet from the view point, however it will not be visible.

You can change the location of the yon plane in a 3DMF file. To do this save your 3DMF as an ASCII Text 3DMF. Then open the file in a text editor. Search for "CameraRange". You will see ( 1 10000 ) on that line. Simply change 10000 to 100000 for every instance of CameraRange (there will be one for every set view in your model). Save the file and open it in DesignWorkshop.

You should be able to see things up to 100,000 feet away, which should be far enough for your model.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Mike Wheeler
