Dear Greg,

I just spoke with you on the phone about these issues, but to reiterate here....

The rad command needs to refer to the .rif file. The .rif file contains a series of commands telling Radiance how to setup the rendering. Gensky is not a command that belongs in .rif files, so when the rad command reads the file greg, thinking it is a .rif file it gives an error on the very first line.

The file named simply greg is your .rad file. When you export a Radiance Scene you name the .rad file, so you should enter a file name of greg.rad, rather than greg. The .mat and .rif files will be properly named accordingly.

Best wishes,

Mike Wheeler
