Your right... Through all of my steps, I never was really pointing rad at the .pic library. When I finally ra_t16 my file from a .tga to a true .pic and dropped it in the work file things started happening. Then I thought I'd have to convert every file, (ugh). I remembered you telling me to just place the dw .pic in the work file, so I put them all in and they nearly all worked! Anyway I learned a lot and really appreciate your help.
Next, I'm trying to upload my texture images into radiance. I've tried paintshop .pic, and that doesn't work. ( I read your previous e-mail) I converted it to a .tga and then used ra_t16 to make it a *true* .pic. That didn't work. I'm thinking that the file *size* may make a difference, like in dw you have to have your file size less than 200 mb in order to work. I did copy and re-name a text line in my dw text file to exactly match my new file name. When I run rad, I get a picture, just a shaded solid cube without my texture.
I'm enjoying the new images. I do a lot of interior design finishes, it's going to be great to have reflective ceramic tile floors and lacquer table tops, etc.!
