Dear Larry,

With DesignWorkshop you can quickly and easily turn contour lines in a CAD program to a 3D model.

Simply import the lines into DesignWorkshop. Assign the proper relative elevation to each line, and then extrude each lineso its thickness matches the change in elevation between each line.

To learn more you can refer to our tutorial on the subject, available at:

This tutorial is aimed at making a contour model from a scanned in set of contours. If you already have the contours in a CAD program, you already have the first part taken care of.

Pleaselet us know whenever you have further questions.

Best wishes,

Mike Wheeler
