I am inquiring for some information on the IGES format for 3D models using NURBS. I am a graduate student working on the modeling of gas turbine blades for the purpose of aerodynamic optimization. I have developped a program that uses NURBS to model 3D turbine blades. I have reached a point in my research where it is essential that I import my 3D models into a commercial package for CFD analysis (Fluent), but I cannot afford to lose any of the precision and detail of my models. The commercial software is IGES compatible and that is why I need to learn how to setup my output files into that format. Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely,
