If you are using AutoCAD and if you intend to unfold any 3d-surface area, bounded by 3D-polylines, you should try out my General unfolding routine - download from www.black-cad.de. It is very simple - consists of an AutoLISP and an computing module - based on the neutral phasis but it works in any cases.
