I hope that I have posted this in the correct place..

We've recently started working with someone who is using Vectorworks 10 and are importing a number of basemap graphics in from CAD... We're having some language difficulties (I speak basic CAD, and no Vectorworks and he doesn't speak CAD 2007), and are stuck.. I hope someone can help!

I've clipped the graphics in CAD down to about a 1 km square area, and am certain that there is nothing beyond the clipped areas in CAD. I'm saving the files as 2000, since the version of Vectorworks being used is older.

We are importing .dwgs to classes, 1:1. For some reason Vectorworks appears to have extra information associated with the graphics that go kms beyond what we want to show. We wonder if it might be arcs or centre points..? Also when we try to group graphics, the group feature isn't working.

Has anyone else experienced this? What fixes should we try?
