i have just upgraded from 6 to 7.5 on a G5. If i open a version 6 file which is in a sub directory to make an alteration. i can make the changes i want to but when i try to save it will not overwrite and will only give me the option of saving to my desktop or documents or G5. so i have to save to desktop then drop the file over original folder to overwrite (longwinded) I have lots of drawings filed in various sub directories. anyone know a quick solution please ????? |

I think it has to do with the different file types between PC6 & PC7.
When I've run into your problem, I am usually updating a number of PC6 files files from the same sub-folder. To make my life easier, I'll put an alias of the sub-folder on the desktop, which makes saving the new PC7 file back into the original sub-folder easier. |

I don't overwrite them. I just append my own suffix for PowerCADD 7 and save it along side the old file as an archive. Partly stems from not trusting any new upgrade until I've used it for a while. _________________ Rob
