Hoping someone can help: Our company has access to very detailed Sketchup files of our building products. I'd like to use them as a resource for some possible 3D animation. Can anyone suggest a good product?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Hello Adam.
I think you need SU Animate(rb-script - this script creates a slide show that animates groups along paths you define.)
But i prefer cinema4d....or for speed-render - hypershot

I'll look in to SU Animate today, thanks... unless you mean the animation tool that's provided in SU. I tried that and it's not what we're looking for.

Can you tell me more about Cinema 4D? I downloaded a trial version of this but was unable to import an SU file in to it. Any ideas?

Thanks again for the advice.

Thanks I'm downloading it now. If you have any sketchup tips, I'd love to hear them. Thanks again, Adam

I use fbx-export(supported by c4d) and also obj-exp.(if you have problems with obj, use Riptide-plugin in cinema4d).
I use sketchup for box(dummy)-modelling and all shading, render-animation in c4d. Additional info you can find at maxon's site and c4d's help system.
For photo-realistic render(static and anima) you can use "native" advancd.render...or for large budget - cebas finalrender, vray for c4d.....
