design thesis:aquarium a good idea???

Hello!
I too am contemplating an aquarium for my design thesis.(as a part of a larger,already established marine research facility in India)
Although it doesn't seem too difficult to me to get the required drawings and maybe even standards for the actual aquaria....I wonder...is it a good idea to take up such a project for one's thesis?
I think the extremely stringent enclosure design standards etc might take away a lot of the 'freedom'of design.Would it be better to design something else which allows me more room for experiementation?

I am considering a mueseum of sorts(but i don't know of what!) because it is the ideal kind of building type if you want to play with language.

Also could anybody suggest new ín demand 'building types to me?...like 'green mall' etc.

Any comments/info on aquarium design/suggestions for design thesis would be highly appreciated!

i think your aquarium idea is a good one, since its a real live project, you would be solving problems, and i think thats a job of an architect. or look for a problem solving project to do. thatz more challenging.
