Fellow Architects and Archi Students, I'm currently on a School Architectural Design project, it's A City Plaza.
I decided to adopt a concept from the historic spanish plazas of old, where an open space is surrounded by buildings, but mine has an enclosed building at the centre.
All these surrounding
Buildings (7 in number) are circular spaces of relatively different heights but the same floor area (15m in diameter), and their elevational form tapers up like a Gothic arc, but the building at their centre has the elevational form of a Tudor arc.
Now the challenge, I'm concerned that any gush of wind will force its way through 1 or more of the spaces between these buildings at a time, and directed at the building at the centre. I believe these might become an architectural or environmental hazard if safety measures are not employed.
Pls I need suggestions on how to achieve a safe and practicable structure.
NOTE: Building material is Steel & Glass, but suggestions on other materials are welcomed.
Thanks Y'all |
