I have just accuired the most beautiful solid oak roll top drafting table from probably around the turn of the century. It was covered in a ugly brown paint so i decided to refinish the piece. This is a work in progress. It has hand made nails to join pieces along with screws for brackets. The oak is dark from oxygen over the years.I started to do light sanding but stopped since it was taking away the patina. It has two pullouts for writing on each side. There are no broken pieces of the roll top but does show wear over the years you would expect. It is about 5' 6" wide. Also no wobble. It is as solid as the day it was built.I will sell this piece when it is finished. It needs a place to be displayed and used.If interested email me @ butch_l@highstream.net I can send pictures when a friend of mine comes to take them.
