Hi,
Just bought DW Classic and I am looking for the most bang for the buck rendering software to go with it.
Just need to pull off a simple basement remodel design and render.
Can anyone recommend a decently priced rendering software that will "raise the bar" a little over what DW Classic can do on its own?
Many thanks. |

DesignWorkshop Classic includes real-time shaded rendering complete with lights and material textures by way of the View -> Lights & Textures menu command.
DW Classic also supports the same plug-in rendering architecture that enables the advanced rendering included with DesignWorkshop Professional. This high-quality, shadow-cast rendering is achieved in Lights & Textures using the Lightworks PictureMaker plug-in.
To see some examples of the results you can get from the PictureMaker plug-in, please visit this Artifice Gallery page. PictureMaker is available separately, at a special price to registered DesignWorkshop Classic users. To learn more, please contact Artifice Sales.
For even higher-quality rendering options please consider Art*lantis or an upgrade to DW Professional.
Art*lantis is an excellent stand-alone rendering application for Windows and Macintosh that works very well with DesignWorkshop Classic and Professional.
In addition to the built-in Lightworks renderer, an upgrade to DW Professional would give you access to RenderCity, a free rendering service for DW Pro owners based on the powerful Radiance lighting simulation system. Registered owners of DesignWorkshop Classic can upgrade to Professional at the special price of $399.00 plus shipping.
Both Art*lantis and the DW Professional upgrade (as well as many other products and accessories) are available through the CADOutpost.com secure online order form.
You can see a side-by-side comparison of all the rendering options I've mentioned at the Artifice online gallery. |
