You can look at Asia book section. I saw couple books talking about the Buddist Temple in Vietnam, but unfortunately they're in Vietnamese. I once did some reseach about it and found out some Japanese Architectue magazines often talk about it. Good luck. Very Happy

hey, nerisa, im jess fr malaysia...arch student final yearl, now preparing 4 my final year design theses, ac ur title on chinese funeral temple, oso came to my mind before, i thk this could b a very interesting project...bt i dont thk there r any book showing the architecture of it... the only way is research by ur on... site visiting and oso interviewing the person in-charge...stop wasting ur time searching for the book...learning by observing n listening...tats the fastest way...gd luck..
as 4 me..my final year design theses end up with (Women Welfare Community Centre)..this will b aplace where a pit the commercial area up front to attract the public and oso to generate the fund for the charity activity for the unmarried pregnant women which are discriminated by the society and oso shelter for the family violence victims.
so this place will b the Recreational, Redeveopment and oso welfare facility centre for the women from body to soul. bt actually the final intention is bringing the family and sociaty together(reminding the sociaty to put more attention on how important are the family life) by focus on the female group. wat do u think on my idea? Razz
